Molykote G 68 is a high water resistance, low coefficient of friction, plastic and steel gear grease. This advanced material is composed of lithium soap, mineral oil, polyalphaolefine, EP additives and solid lubricants. The product is primarily used in gears of electrical tooth brushes and paper shredders. It also has excellent compatibility with most plastics.

Molykote G 68 is a semi-synthetic grease that is beige in color. The density of the product at 20 degrees Celsius is .85 grams per cc and the service temperature is between -30 to 140 degrees Celsius. In accordance to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2176 the dropping point of Molykote G-68 is at 190 degrees Celsius.  Kinetic/ kinematic viscosity is 75 centistokes and the load carrying capacity is 1900 4 ball weld, N. This advanced product is capable of for being used as a simple household grease for lubricating plastic substrates as well as in more advanced automotive and aerospace applications. It is available in 25kg pails, 5kg containers and in 1kg cans.

Molykote G 68 may be applied by using a grease-gun, brush, spatula, or an automatic lubricating device. It is also suitable for delivery in a central lubricating system. Clean points of contact and apply the lubricating grease. Because of a variation in quality of elastomers and plastics, it is recommended have a Molykote-G-68compatibility test carried out for shrinkage, swelling, stress-crack formation and changes in hardness and strength. The innovative product should not be mixed with any other grease because it may change the characteristics lubrication and it may not perform the way that it was formulated to perform.
